anybody ever heard of this guy?

Images--that sounds a bit like you are belittleing her. She was just asking a simple question as to whether or not he looked like a good deal. Can't blame the girl for trying!

I don't look at photographers often since I'm not using one but I checked his site out & my main concern would be that he has no proof that he has ever shot a wedding. The weddings that he has posted, those could have easily been friends or people he paid to throw on the dresses & tuxes and pose. I mean, there are no ceremony shots, just pre wedding shots. That would concern me, and $200 is really cheap. You probably would only get an SD card with images and then it'd be left up to you to reprint, etc. And then there is the chance of never getting the pictures since he'd want to take the chip & add his watermark to it after the wedding. Good luck in finding you a photographer.

The thing that strikes me is that each of the photos is posed. You want someone who can get photos of things like the kiss, in which he has to be there at the exact right instant. He has not shown the ability to work when timing is an issue.
