I was thinking that instead of spending hundreds of dollars for use of a vehicle for a few hrs I would rent two large luxury SUVs for the entire weekend. Thats the entire BP party can go to rehearsal and move about and still get to the wedding. Its not like anybody will see us get out of the vehicles I think we mostly likely get dressed at the venue and transportation to the reception will be quick as the venue is 3 miles from the church. Is this a good/feasible idea? Or does anyone see it as tacky?

We aren't using a limo.. it's just not worth it for us to spend 300-400 to get from the church to the reception. Also all but one company around here has a 3 hour minimum which jacks up the price even more (around 500). I thought about using the pink bus http://www.nightmovespartybus.com/ourbuses.html because they its fun and you can drink on them, but they don't have air conditioning and I don't want to spend that kind of money to swear. Instead my fh's niece is going to be so great and give us a horse and buggy ride! The buggy is similar to the picture but all black and doesn't have the fancy cushioning, but its perfect for the price (free!) and I love having family involved with the wedding!

We're not using a limo because EVERYONE in my small town gets a limo for their wedding and I really wanted to do something different. MY future MIL mentioned that in her hometown, the wedding party would drive through town, almost like a parade. Everyone would drive their own vehicles and follow each other from the church to the reception site. Our town isn't as small as her hometown was, but it's still pretty small, so we're going to use convertibles for us and the wedding party. My MIL's sister is friends with the head of the convertible club in our state, so we'll be able to use them for a fraction of what it would cost for us to use a limo, plus we'll be able to drive around our small town (barring any rain) and do something completely new and different Smiley smile

We are not doing a limo either - thankfully everything is contained to the same location - Ceremony, Reception and Wedding Night since we are getting married at a B&B - the only thing we will do is get my car cleaned and detailed and maybe put some decorations on it.
