I was thinking that instead of spending hundreds of dollars for use of a vehicle for a few hrs I would rent two large luxury SUVs for the entire weekend. Thats the entire BP party can go to rehearsal and move about and still get to the wedding. Its not like anybody will see us get out of the vehicles I think we mostly likely get dressed at the venue and transportation to the reception will be quick as the venue is 3 miles from the church. Is this a good/feasible idea? Or does anyone see it as tacky?

MayB, will your 20-year old cousin be ALLOWED to drive the rental van? Some rental companies have a minimum age of 24 or 25.

No limo here. We hired a nice sedan to drive us to the reception. We saved a lot of money that way.

Nope, no limo here. We are getting ready at the venue, which is the same place as the reception. And we're having shuttle for our guests from the hotel to the venue, and back. We'll just jump on that after the reception so we can party it up w/our guests at the hotel

We are not doing a limo simply because our ceremony/reception are at the same place it would be a waste of money

My original plan was to do the rental car. My preference would have been an ice town car. However, it became worth it to get a limo to

First, make sure FH and his mother get to the church on time. I think having the limo waiting on them, will speed them up. Plus, when the limo comes to pick me up I will know they are already at the church. The second reason is because there is no place for me to dress at the church, I will just sit in the limo until time to walk down the aisle.

Third and what sold me is that the limo ride from the ceremony to the reception will be the only time FH and I get alone after we're married to soak in what just happened and our new status.

Did you try rent a cars? cause you may be able to get cars cheaper through that and have unlimited miles, since my guest are only there for a weekend we're using taxis, since everything is so close to either the most it'll cost for rides is like $10 even that

We aren't getting a limo either. We're having a destination wedding so we're getting rental cars anyway.

The only reason we will be using a limo is to pick us up after the reception, and take us home, or to a hotel. lol. There will be drinking at the wedding, and it would be kind of nice. So, were going to use a limo for an hour. Just to get home. I wonder if they have a special package to get that just get the intoxicated bride and groom home safely. lol.

I am using a limo just to go get pictures taken and then get dropped off at the reception. I was one of the last things we decided on to make sure it was in our budget....

We are not using a limo either. Our ceremony/reception are at the same place (Westin). Plus at the end of the night, we are going to stay and say our goodbyes to everyone as they leave since we are staying the night at the Westin anyway.
