Anybody else fighting the urge to elope?

Anybody else a little overwhelmed? We started out planning for April 2017 then my sister said she was pregnant so I pushed it back so the baby would be a little older. We chose Vegas bc his family lives in NY and mine live in MS, and the midpoint was Kentucky... which didn't seem like a place many would want to travel to. Even though it's Vegas we're still going traditional so like.. 20k for 50 people (including everything: hotel stay, flights and some extra events in Vegas as our honeymoon for the following few days) I keep telling myself that it's going to be fun and it's just one day, not like we're going to pay this much for any other party in our lives. *sigh* Somedays I just wanna elope and then go back home and have a party with our families. The only issue with that is either we'd still be in Kentucky... or We'd be having 2 separate parties where our families don't meet. I don't really have a question.. just venting..

We do close to 100 elopements a year (2-20 guests). So not everyone is fighting it.

I hear you! So far there's been two unexpected pregnancies (one in the bridal party and one in the family), two unexpected deaths that impacted the planning process, MULTIPLE reschedules for dress/tux shopping due to weather. The thought has crossed my mind daily! Now that we've finally crossed a lot of big things of the list, I think about less

I think about it every day. I can't wait until we are married and I'm excited for the wedding but omg I'm so over the planning and budgeting and beyond stressed

Elope to someplace exotic or beachy. Las Vegas would be my last choice.

I am. I think about it all the time. I'm overwhelmed and stressed. I've cried like crazy LOL. I just want it to be over. ETA: spelling

Las Vegas is my first choice Nancy.. we're having the full shebang in Vegas, not an elopement. I LOVE Vegas, so it's just a matter of perspective and personal preference.

I seriously contemplated eloping for a good year of our wedding planning. But I think in the end, it is all worth it.

I am loving the whole planning a wedding process so I couldn't imagine doing it any other way!!
