Ask him which are most important to him. Like music, food, drinks, or any references to movies or songs he'd like to incorporate.

    I agree with D.

Start a master list of to-dos and responsibilities. Have him select what’s important to him. Split everything up and set deadlines for them to be completed/booked/scheduled

I like what D suggested. I did that for my husband and he got really into what he wanted most so he planned that part himself

Brainstorm some ideas together. Sometimes when guys get away in the food or music they get more excited and willing to help out (they usually care less about decor details like invites, signs & flowers).

My hubby originally said “Do whatever you want. A wedding is the bride’s day.” But being sad planning alone (a boho wedding he would have hated), I told him I wanted to create our wedding story together. We brainstormed theme ideas, decided on a Disney pirates reception and he was so stoked he was 💯 committed, building props, helping with the food menu, finding musicians.

Realistically, most men don't/won't get excited about wedding planning. You can include him on the fun things like cake & food tastings, but he's probably not going to care about much else.

Well, good luck. The only advice I can give is to not expect too much - I don't think it's in their nature to care about materialistic things. My fiance is excited about getting married and excited about the celebration, but not excited about planning it! Just give him easy tasks and also HELP him complete the tasks. I gave mine the task of arranging outfits for the groomsmen back in February. He waited until NOW (a month before the wedding) to start looking. I ended up choosing the colors and general style and everything and let him and his best man loose in Macy's to find what they could within the groomsmen's budgets that closely matches what I had picked out. It's just hard to motivate unmotivated guys and you have to be creative.

What things are important to your FH? For H, it was venue, food, music, and his (and his GM's) attire, so those were things he dealt with.
