Any other April Fools Day (2017) brides out there?

Me! It wasn't our first choice either but our venue we wanted was booking up so fast. The jokes from everyone got to me at first but we have totally embraced it now too! I told FH he will never forget our anniversary

Hi Date Twins!!! I felt really weird about it at first. We knew we wanted a Saturday in April and didn't want to consider May because our venue charges more (April is offseason). It was the last Saturday they had available, so we decided to go with it. We absolutely love the venue and didn't want to look anywhere else. April Fool's is my dad's favorite day of the year, so I told him he has to hold back on trying to pull anything on me. No April fool's jokes for the bride!

People's reactions to the date were annoying at first, but now I'm over it. We're embracing it and it will bring a new, happy meaning to the day!

Lol our venue had three dates open in 2017! April Fool's Day, My Birthday (July 22) or our date (9/16/17). I went with the latter! No problem getting married on April Fools Day! I just thought it would be a little warmer here in Indiana in September.

I'm getting married the day before... But my honeymoon starts that day! Congrats almost date twin

When are you guys sending out your save the dates? Mine are coming in this week. I know it's early, but I'm so anxious to get them out! I'll probably hold off until the middle of September so it's closer to the 6 month mark. We don't have many out of towners.

@angela, I sent mine out this week actually. We have a ton of out of towners and we're doing adult only (bc of guest list limitations) and have a lot of people that will need to plan for childcare so we wanted to give as much notice as possible.

Our date is the April 1. It's my FH's birthday also.

He thought it would be nice to be married on his Bday and it so happened to be on Saturday so we're lucky.

My save the dates came in this week, but I'm waiting till October to send them out.

I'm so excited I might send them next month.

I think the date is pretty popular despite being April Fool's day. When we were looking for venues in July several vendors already had the 1st booked.

The way I see it you all have a few options.... you can leave your FHs at the alter, then run in and yell April Fools!, OR you could do a fake ceremony then turn around and tell the crowd April Fools.

Honestly Id be really worried about someone playing some jokes that day.

I'm also doing an April 1st wedding! Not my first choice either. The venue we want has staggered ceremonies so if we wanted an early time we had to change our date. Houston gets super hot & humid so I didn't want May. We haven't sent our save the dates just yet but will get them out next month as we have a lot of out of towners. We decided 4/1 is just another day and are super excited to get married. Congrats ladies!
