Interesting! Not exactly though. My daddy daughter dance will be in Chinese though. Go for it!

Soundwave Entertainment, djsoundwave.net, we recommend using about 1/2 of each song that way you are still only dancing about 4 mins total. The DJ can fade out right after the chorus of the 2 songs you choose~ we do this very very often for our clients!

No not at all. I think its soo romantic. We are using two songs as well. We will enter to one song and dance a little together before it goes into our first dance. And then we will also come in later and dance to an African song

Two songs is really cute idea. Just don't make the first dance too long. People can get bored watching you dance. Our wedding coordinator said to have the first dance under 2 minutes. Thats what she said, but you can do whatever you want. It is your day.

I don't think it's crazy! I'm not using 2 for my first dance but I am using 2 for the father-daughter dance

    Marlina-

Don't worry about what people will think- if you are loving the moment, your guests will too! I love a change in the 1st Dance- it catches people off-guard and makes your moment that much more unique. I would also advise using some parts of it as opposed to 2 full songs- your DJ can mix it perfectly for you- unless you plan to do some custom dance moves to it as well (see below). Then it can be as long as you want.

Anna Banana- under two minutes is ridiculous unless you or FH have a dancing phobia. Do the whole song! This is one of those moments where time seems to stop- relish the moment! Your guests won't get bored unless you have some 5-6+ minute epic. Your coordinator may be trying to look out for you if you don't like the spotlight, but if you don't mind sharing your moment with your guests, they won't mind an extra minute or two! Congrats and happy dancing!

BTW here is a long first dance I mixed for a B&G with some fun dance moves! http://vimeo.com/48278889

I think as long as it doesn't go on for 8 minutes then it would be ok, I would cut them in half like suggested. A good DJ will be able to make it pretty seamless. Our song was just over 4 minutes. I read online that it shouldn't be more then 2 as well, but I have never actually seen a short dance like that

I don't think it's bad! I want one slow dance and one choreographed ballroom dance for mine. Where one fades into the other. I'm a ballet and ballroom dancer and he's not into that but we're compromising and doing both.
