Some were on a table and stuffed with pretty ribbons, but i am going to put led lights in some of them..you can make the hole as big or small as you want so maybe even a picture would look cool!

    Tips from previous brides.

Go to the dollar store and get the punching balloons. They are a VERY nice round shape. Maybe don't knot the ballon, use some kind of clip or something so that you can undo the clip, deflate the ballon, and hopefully use it again?

I'll try to find the actual posts.

Have you seen those funny images on pinterest that show what the project was supposed to look like and then a picture of when it ended up looking horrible with a caption saying "Nailed it"? I have a feeling that is how the string ball thingies end up!! By no means is that meant to be a blow to your creative abilities, they just definitely seem to be something that appears easy and is actually incredibly difficult! I know I could NEVER do them! Good luck and post pictures when you finish them, even if they don't turn out perfectly! Smiley smile

They look really cool, and I may try my hand at them.

Here are some I did myself.. They are not hard to do but can be time consuming and frustrating at times when the string knots up on you.. Also a tip trying using the thin yarn for the smaller ones not the thick yarn.. Anything I read never said what size to use.. Experiment with the size to get the look you want cause the size does change the look of it. The first pic is one I did using a heart shaped balloon the smaller heart shaped balloon I have also used the larger heart shaped balloon as well. I know it might be hard to tell its a heart but you can when see it for real. I also posted a pic of small ones I did using water balloons. These are going on my tables instead of the typical votive holders. I have LED votive s inside. All I did was cut a hole out after they were dry to fit the candle in it. The string is easy to cut once dry you dont have to try really hard to leave a hole when wrapping the string if you dont want to cutting will do the trick after it is dry.
