Any Mother/Daughter song suggestions??

We're doing "Where You Lead" by Carole King (the theme song to Gilmore Girls).

My mom really wanted to do "In my Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride, but I feel Where You lead is more "us". There's also a lot of good songs that people do for father-daughter dances that would work for a mother-daughter dance, like "I Loved Her First," "Because You Loved Me," or others like that. (Can you tell this is something my mom and I have discussed in length???)

To be funny, we're also going to play a bit of "She Got it From Her Momma" by Juvenile

Oh my mom also brought up using "I Hope You Dance" by Leeann Womack.

I love the idea of doing "I Hope You Dance" it's a country song and I'm not 100% sure of the artist name but its beautiful.

My mom and I are doing "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood.

It took me FOREVER to decide if we were even going to do one. My dad isn't involved in my life at all (he'll be invited to the wedding..but he won't have a part in it at all), but FH really wanted to dance with his mom and I figured it would look weird if he danced with his and then we just moved on.

My mom and I danced to Like My Mother Does by Lauren Alaina. It is a country song, and most people haven't heard it, but I love it.

I'm surprising my mom with a mother/daughter dance. We'll be dancing to Big Rock Candy Mountain because that's what she used to sing to me when I was a kid. So if you have any songs like that, I think those would be perfect.

My dad and I are dancing to Stevie Wonder's Sunshine of My Life, and FH and his mom are doing I Hope You Dance by Leeane Womack.

In my daughters eyes by Martina McBride. I said for my daughter to use this for her father daughter song she said it was more from mom daughter song.

We didn't dance, but I gave my mom my bouquet instead of doing a toss. We had that Touch the Sky song from Brave playing in the background.

There are tons of songs out there that you could use, especially country songs! maybe ask your mom for one of her favorite songs? if your doing it as a surprise you could just make random conversation with her? if that's not an option there is always;

a song for my daughter - ray allaire

butterfly fly away - miley cyrus

along with all the beautiful songs already mentioned above!

i am doing the same thing with my mom for the same reason, she has been my mom and dad for as long as i can remember! best of luck choosing a song!
