I’m actually adding sheer sleeves to my dress because I noticed there wasn’t a huge selection and I fell in love with dresses with sleeves. The dress is originally a strapless fit and flare with a sweetheart neckline.

It was extremely difficult to find a long sleeve dress. I’m getting married New Years Eve and wanted a sleeve. I did find one by Justin Alexander.

I'm wearing sleeves! My designer was my Great Grandma (Dad's Dad's Mom) as a gift for my Grandma to welcome her to the family. Great Grandma was a designer for a bridal shop in NYC back in the 1930's and 40's - when each shop had their own in house designer - and she also hand sewed the dress because it was for her future DIL. I had a seamstress who specializes in antique gown refit it and redo the sleeves because I couldnt get my hand them. I'm so excited to wear it and have that connection to Grandma since she has been gone for a long time.

My second dress (Grandma's has a really long train, and is too fragile to bustle so I have a reception gown with no train) has a capelet that also covers the top half of my arms.

Now that my fiancee isnt sitting next to me, here is a picture from my last fitting.

Almost finished!

All she had left to do was finish the edge of the front neckline on the inside so the organza overlay didnt get scratchy. You cant see the whole train because it is too long to fit in a photo in her studio - it is 15 ft long!

Hanging up to get as much of the train as possible.

This is hanging from the rafters and it is still bunched up at the end with my mom (taking the pic) all the way squeezed into the corner.

I’m definitely going long sleeve as November is cold here in Maryland and once the ceremony is over I’m planning on changing into something comfortable

I like the long sleeved gowns but it wasn’t practical for my April wedding! If I had a winter wedding or even late fall, I would have gone with sleeve

I just said yes to that same dress yesterday! I love it!

Love long sleeves but for me I knew I'd dance so much and feel restricted. I ended up having flutter sleeves that were cold shoulder as well. Still felt a bit art deco yet modern.
