My ring and band set are rose gold. I have had my ring since February --- a few months after i took it in for cleaning and the jeweler pointed out that there we some tarnish marks on it.
I never take my ring of to do anything, so it is exposed to everything pretty much.
Jeweler asked me to bring in the ring to get re dipped and get those stains away- he says the gold is mixed with copper to get that rose color and it can make the ring react to certain chemicals and tarnish. this is soo annoying because how am i supposed to pin point which chemicals are causing a reaction to my ring. it could be a perfume, soap, lotion, anything!
are there any other rose gold brides who have had this issue. what did you do. I love my ring - fh suggested that if the problem continues we may have to change it for a white or yellow gold
