Any 40 plus yr old brides in here?

40, Mountain snowy adventure-ish theme, little tied now to snowflakes and chose navy blue when forced to haha! Not worried about it, sister insisted something and our daughters wanted to wear dresses. Navy was easy. It's now turning out to be GORGEOUS, and I was initially looking for a cocktail dress or something and knowing may be snowy, outdoors. He asked me why I didn't want to wear a gown on our special day (joking that we only do this once - both divorced) but with that he gave me a HUGE 'budget' since he doesn't care and instructed me to have fun and to FEEL gorgeous on our day! Well under half that for a gorgeous but SIMPLE gown!

We are both over 40, me a little more than him I will be 49 on April 19th. This is the first marriage for the both of us and I don't have a theme at all. Just going with my favorite things but keeping it cohesive. Yes I am wearing the wedding dress of my dreams.

I am 45. 2nd marriage for me. We had a beautiful destination wedding and I said yes to the dress!

@Shonerk - One of my girlfriends got me the white Bride Tank and zipper hoody to get ready in the day of. I also felt a little old to be feeling cheezy but my close friends (especially my MOH) are insisting on stuff.

I'll be 41 and he will be 46 when we get married. It will be my 2nd and his first. I have a light gold, fit and flare wedding gown. Our colors are sapphire and royal purple and we are having aspects of the movie Casablanca throughout. Less than 6 months and I'm so excited!

I'm 39 (I'll be 40 in January). This is both our first marriage. Our theme is Halloween-ish. And I'm wearing a wedding dress.

I was 49 and my husband 50 my first marriage and his second. We had a traditional ceremony and just invited a few of our closest friends and family which was nearly 250 people. We cared more about everyone having a great time and good food. We did some non-traditional things like having a photo booth, candy buffet. It was like planning a big party only we happen to get married. My bridesmaids wore black dresses that they chose. The groomsmen wore black suits and my color scheme was black, pink and white. It was a fun time. It was amazing how everything came together. I was more laidback and had less drama than I thought.

I'm 46 and my FH is 47. This is a second marriage for both of us. We are having a nurse/firefighter themed wedding. I am wearing a formal wedding dress and doing all the fun wedding stuff mostly because I missed out on all this with my first wedding. This will be my last and I want everything to happen that I dreamt of as a little girl!

I think we all deserve to have the dress and wear the wifey/bride shirts.

Not quite. I'm 32 in May, but FH is 42. my first marriage his second. I am gaining a beautiful almost 14 yo step daughter. Our theme is garden party I guess since a rose garden is part of our venue. Our main color will be poppy and I will be wearing a traditional white dress per FH request. (His XW wore black and gold for their DW). FH had more opinions then I thought he would for a second wedding. Lol

Hopped on here, checking in, and funny thing happened. the Montana winter wedding adventure we planned got cancelled due to lack of snow! Of all things? April? Montana! Still it mattered not - a new venue of horse drawn wagon rides, already the theme and colors were set, made and ordered, so the reception still had snowflakes, etc! but only a little bit - overall it was just natural, Montana stuff - here's a pic of some items!
