Anxiety 2 days left

kelsey, on May 29, 2019 at 9:40 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8
I get married in two days!! The past week my prewedding anxiety has been so good! Today I woke up a giant stress ball. My back is sore from the stress and I just can’t relax or think straight. I’m just crying. I did not get much sleep last night and tonight I have out of town guests coming to stay with me in the middle of the night. Which isn’t helping my anxiety at all right now because I know it will be another night of interrupted sleep when my dog wakes me up barking as they arrive.

Idk what to do to get it under check. I just want to crawl in bed make it go away.

i have no doubts about FH! I’m so excited to marry him, but just have so much anxiety all of a sudden. Idk what to do.

Sorry for the long rant, I just needed to vent.

Can you get away for a couple of hours? Go get a massage, or your nails done or even just some ice cream, or read some Bible verses if you’re religious, and try to relax. Everything live been working for is about to come to fruition, and it will be a beautiful day!

Definitely try to get away for a massage, and have them focus on your back. Have you gotten a pedicure for your wedding yet? If not, or if you weren't planning to, maybe schedule one of those too because a nice foot massage can do wonders for stress!

Do you have a friend or a family member near by that would just let you talk/cry for a little? If not, just getting in the car and driving around for a while could help. One of the best ways to get that lump out is just some catharsis! I agree that a massage or a pedicure will help you relax a little, but getting that nervous energy out will help as well!

You're almost to the finish line, so finish strong! I agree with PP - don't bottle up your feelings. Find someone you trust and pour out your heart to them. Hope you feel better soon Smiley heart

Try a long hot bath, deep breathing, soothing music maybe, candles. Sometimes you have to just block everything out, and focus on your own well being.

Hugs! I’m a huge ball of stress at 23 days out and so far behind! Kids to care for. I work full time fh working two jobs to pay for weddingZ family coming to stay and have to gut and clean my whole house before they come and finish so much for the wedding on top of regular life🔥
i second the suggestions here and hope to take some of them myself.

Totally normal! Totally understandable! You've been building up to this wedding for so long, it's totally natural for it all to catch up with you, especially now that people are coming into town and you're going into hosting mode. What do you love? What makes you calm? Can you go for a walk, a massage, a swim, even just a bath?

Will you sleep at home the night before your wedding, or will you stay somewhere else where you won't be woken up? Have you tried some noise canceling headphones? Can a relative take charge of keeping the pup quiet for the night so you can get one really good long night's sleep?

Girl, I would play hooky if I were you. Just go MIA few an hour or two and do what you want: window shopping, reading, bubble bath, etc. Anything that isn't wedding related.

Do you have a parent/sibling/wedding party member that can run interference for you?
