Okay this got a bit complicated due to my own stressing out about financial stuff and on going Covid drama. We recently changed our plan from doing a smallish wedding locally to now doing an even smaller event out of state.
Two main reasons being the following: cost and this time we get an actual honeymoon (as original plan there was no wiggle room to even do a small getaway due to cost).
The only people who know are the actual wedding party whom are still invite to join us out of state in an effort to keep things small and avoid any potential covid restrictions kicking in, but others that were invited to the original plan will ask what's up as we are roughly 6 months out. Growing up LDS the "open house" reception was always a thing and so this is no big deal in my eyes but some might see it as one.
We would want to do a very informal thing perhaps next summer but I'm lost to how to announce this without hurting feelings. Any thoughts?
