Anniversary date - date of marriage cert or actual ceremony?

I would celebrate the day I legally got married.

Honestly? Who cares? I don't mean that in a mean way. But you can choose. Your anniversary really only pertains to you two, so choose which day is most important to the two of you.
We signed our license on 3/28. Our wedding is in October.
I'm not too concerned as I am not too big on anniversaries.

Its whatever day holds the most meaning to the two of you. Honestly with a fun spin you could choose one for a serious celebration and the other day as a gag- humor to look back on in years.

I like what pp suggested in you could even celebrate both why not? Aha I still celebrate our dating anniversary because it’s the start of our love story

My thought on this is, I will have customized items with the ceremony date and that will be the date engraved into our minds. But if we have to fill out any legal documentation in the future, will we remember the date the license was signed? Or will we just have to look for the license whenever that comes up

The official ceremony is considered to be the date on the legal paperwork. Anything after that is a renewal of vows technically.
