Am i the only one?

Let me preface this by saying that yes I am happy to be married but I am dreading the "after wedding blues" I've been in wedding planning mode for the last 10 months and have no idea what I'm going to do with all the free time on my hands.

I actually had hobbies before I started wedding planning. I have severely neglected them during this busy wedding planning time. I love to cook, bake, read, garden. I've still done some of these things, just not as much as I used to before I started spending all my free time planning a wedding!

So, I'm looking forward to getting back to my favorite hobbies. 8 months to go!!

Well what did you do before you were engaged and planning? Go back to that.

I was so relieved once the wedding was over. It was like a weight off of my shoulders. I loved the free time! After about a month I got bored and missed the planning, but there are other things to put your energy towards! I jumped into house projects, nesting, we will be having the holidays at our house and we are already family planning! It's all exciting! If you can't find anything to do, start a new hobby!

I am worried about this myself and I have two kids...in sports...Any mom on here knows what this means. I never have any time lol, but I have acquired a new skill...wedding planning. Even built myself a workstation at home to accommodate all my crafts and preps.

I am happy that my family will be in town for a month after the wedding and then we are already heading into Christmas time...so I am hoping I'll have plenty to do.

Omg.... me too. I've loved planning and having fun and... I'm 23 days away and I'm already sad that it went by so quicklyyyy! Smiley sad I don't want kiddies either so it's like.... omg what do i do now! My only comfort is I have 2 other friends getting married and I'm hoping I can help them plan. Smiley smile

It's been almost a year since our wedding and it was strong at first and faded for a bit while I got back to normal life. Now that our 1 year since the wedding is coming up I am missing it SO MUCH. I miss how fun it was since it was a DW in Vegas and seeing everyone and just wanting to do it all again so badly.

Planning ahead to have another project to work on might be helpful. I'm in between planning mode where I have nothing to do now but will have plenty to do soon so I've begun a genealogy project. I'm gathering info to do family trees for 5 generations back for each of us and then extra family crests for those too far back to be on the tree. I almost never run out of craft projects either. It really helps me to be less stressed about whats left if i distract myself. 5 months to go... and for about 3 of them, i've got nothing to do.
