Soo I am in absolute shock how these RSVPs are coming back to me.... I’ve had people switch out guests who are invited with guests who aren’t invited instead of just declining. I had someone do thee above and leave a note that they would also be attending the rehearsal dinner they aren’t invited to....
Soo I am in absolute shock how these RSVPs are coming back to me.... I’ve had people switch out guests who are invited with guests who aren’t invited instead of just declining. I had someone do thee above and leave a note that they would also be attending the rehearsal dinner they aren’t invited to. I got one yesterday that someone didn’t state whether they were coming or not, just put their names. Then I received one just now where they added two extra people who were definitely not invited.... like what is happening? I’m so over this whole wedding planning. People are just unbelievable. Now, I don’t know how to contact the guest who added extras, because they are on my fiancé’s side, and I would feel super uncomfortable calling them and being like “hey, you can’t just bring who you want”.

Please, tell me I’m not the only one dealing with this crap.

I would show my fiancé what his side is doing and suggest he speak with then and his clan as well as you with your guest list or someone will be embarrassed. they dint seem to understand invitation etiquette.

You or FH divide them up and call them up and say sorry if any misunderstanding -- which is total BS, you were clear -- but the invite was only for you and John. We hope to see you there, we understand if you cannot make it.

What site did you use for your online invites? This sounds so much easier.

Oh my god I can't believe people! Who has the audacity to invite themselves to the rehearsal dinner?? I would start contacting them right away, let FH help you out with his side too. FH and I have an agreement, he handles his family, I handle mine. Be sure to be together when he is addressing these issues with his guests too, just so that he doesn't end up conceding under pressure. Let them know who was invited, and if they can't come, that is unfortunate but the invite was for them, not someone else. That is not how this works. As for the extra guests, let them know you can not accommodate extra guests. Sorry!

Oh I’m sorry I meant my RSVP’s will be online. I’m not adding the cards for them to mail them to me... I still haven’t bought my actual Save the Dates or invites yet lol.

Sending out my invitations today and I'm terrified things like this will come up for us, too. I'm so sorry this is happening!! People can be so rude. I'm already dreading having to call people back after the RSVP deadline has passed.
