Nope!

We got engaged in December of 2018 and I had a venue booked by January. We are getting married in November of 2020. Glad I did, they are filling up extremely fast. We just hit 13 months and I am stoked, but I also feel so organized since I spent the first year just making calls and getting an idea of costs and the process for things.

Huge advantage I learned... If there is a venue you are in love with, wait till the end of the year, they will typically do some deals to try to get spots filled. Since your so far in advance your date will most likely be available. We got out venue for 1/2 off, saved us $2500.00 because put a deposit down before the end of January.

It's never too early to start planning! Weddings are EXPENSIVE! The advantage of having a longer engagement is being able to save up and not spend thousands of dollars in a short time span. Small but important things like guest list, addresses and vendor management are things you can work towards to make it less stressful.
