Am I invited to your wedding???

Was out to eat with the FH and ran into one of my girlfriends. We used to be close but we lost touch and just recently reconnected on fb. After a few minutes of chit chat she asks that question..."am I m invited" I simply told her it is a medium size wedding and I do have a plan b list if people...

Was out to eat with the FH and ran into one of my girlfriends. We used to be close but we lost touch and just recently reconnected on fb. After a few minutes of chit chat she asks that question..."am I m invited" I simply told her it is a medium size wedding and I do have a plan b list if people cant come. That is the only stressful part... everyone cant come and if you have to ask... that should be a clear indication, of no, you are not invited. how do you handle it? that question caught me off guard.

    There's no easy way to answer this question. I explain that due to budget, we are not able to invite everyone we want and hope people don't take it personally if we are unable to extend an invitation.

    I am glad I could provide the daily entertainment! We have had a few representatives that want an invitation. We already have too many.

    I would never ask someone if I was invited to their wedding or assume that I was. Because then they might just invite me because now they feel obligated. What an awkward question
