This is the first personal message I’ve received but Ive had plenty of “when is the wedding?” “are we invited?” type comments and I honestly don’t know how to respond. This is the first personal message I’ve received but Ive had plenty of “when is the wedding?” “are we invited?” type comments and I honestly don’t know how to respond. I think this is rude, I don’t think people should heckle you for a date, an invite or trying to get into your life again! It makes me want to delete social media until the wedding! We have a date picked, venue, and more. I don’t want to rethink my guest list every time someone wants to come to the wedding. Help me respond and understand how to deal with these situations please

My solution... Do not use social media for personal events that occur in your life, unless you want to subscribe to unsolicited comments/attention/etc. Just #optout.

Yes, I know who I want and who I don’t want and I’ve dealt with this person. It just frustrates me to have to deal with “friends” on this topic. Wow im surprised someone would do that!

This is true, I’ve posted the engagement photos and my surprise bridal shower but I’m not updating everybody on everything wedding related.

Smiley heart Beautiful couple and photo, I agree with the above comments. It is your day so only invite those you both want there. That is what we are doing. Congratulations and enjoy the process!

I would just ignore it. And if someone doesn't know me well enough to have my phone number, they definitely wouldn't be invited to my wedding.

I saw this Youtube video recently about things like this. The lady was saying people who are close to you will not ask this question. If you have to ask " am i invited to the wedding?" its because you're clearly not close enough to the couple to secure your invitation. Obviously this isn't always true. But just let them down easy. Tell them you're keeping it strictly family only.

I always turn off comments on (specifically) Instagram posts so there isn't room for these awkward questions/comments... Just double-tap the photo and move on! ;0)
