Am I going to regret not wearing white?

Sarah, on March 21, 2017 at 2:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 74

I made a blush dress that I love but the response on the color of my dress has been mixed which is starting to make me wonder if I made a mistake. Everyone who sees the dress, loves it. But when I mention that it's blush and not white to people who haven't, they look at me like I've completely lost my mind. Has anyone worn a blush dress? What are your feelings on blush dresses? This is the dress that inspired me to make mine and it's a very similar color and style.

I think that color is beautiful! He'll I've seen full on pink wedding dresses and I think they look amazing. Don't get hung up on the color, wearing white is not a bridal requirement! What's important is that YOU feel like a bride in whatever color you choose to wear.

It's beautiful. Just beautiful. What matters is what you think.

I love them, they are stunning. They just didn't look good against my skin. What matters is how YOU feel in the dress, even if it was bright pink with blue polkadots-if you're happy that's what matters.

It's a beautiful color! Try not to let other people's responses change how you feel about the dress. If you love it, that's what matters!

    That dress is really pretty.

I initially wanted to wear a very pale color- blush, ice blue, yellow, but in the end I felt like I might look back and regret not looking more of what we think of as a modern traditional bride.

    I went with ivory.

Blush dresses are beautiful. People should keep their negative opinions to themselves when you tell them what color your dress is.

Most people don't even really realize the difference.

Honestly to me this still falls into the "white" category.

I wore a black dress. I have zero regrets- my pictures are amazing- and I felt like ME in it. And that's all that matters. I can't imagine a world in which I live where the color of a gown makes me regret my life choices.

That's absurd. - go with what you love.

Why is black not bridal? if you're getting married- you're a bride.

and there for your gown is "bridal"

This notion that there is a color palette that pigeon holes the entire concept of being a bride is stupid.

When you got married "traditionally" you wore your Sunday finest- whatever that was- there was no "right color" it was just whatever was nice.

It's your wedding. Your choice. Are you more of a nontraditional bride? You are going to be beautiful and the colot of your dress is not what people will remember from your wedding.

White was not a common wedding dress color either until Queen Victoria wore it. Now we can't imagine a non-white wedding dress! I love blush wedding dresses and think your dress will look very beautiful as a wedding dress!

I get the same feeling as you! I too also bought a blush gown. But I absolutely love it, so if you're happy then don't have the regret of not wearing white Smiley smile
