I want a really nice, special ring for FH. He once told me a story about Pebble the Penguin. It's a movie about a male penguin who wants to give a special rock to the female penguin he loves and he finds a piece of meteorite. He said if he could, he'd make a whole ring out of that one material for me because I'm so special to him.

I'd like to have some in his wedding band and this company can alter it how ever you'd like. Started messaging the company to see if they could add a guitar string in place of the blue wood band in the center (FH plays bass guitar). Still waiting to see how much it'll cost but here's the crazy part: as it stands, it costs almost as much as our wedding venue.

The other option is from Patrick Adair. It would end up with black powder in the day time and glow blue at night with an inlay of meteorite and amethyst for $375.

Am I crazy for wanting to spend so much on his ring? My set alone was only $150 but that's because we were given a great deal by the shop owner. I want to get him something custom that literally no one had but I also want to be reasonable about it.

I think it’s a really cool idea! Ask your fiancé in a general way about his band and try to see what he thinks about a price point. You want it to be special but don’t go in debt. You could always upgrade later in life if necessary

I would check out Etsy- there's lot of artists on there that can custom make you a ring.

I think that's a really cute sentiment. I was obsessed with penguins growing up, and I also have seen that movie many times 😁

I think if you can afford it, go for it, but I don't know how strong meteorite is, especially if he plays bass. Unless he plays left handed bass, that ring is going to go through trauma. I'd consider something like tungsten.

Also, you've probably already done research, but, depending on where the meteorite comes from, the material strength can be really different.

Just my opinion!

I like the 800 dollar one. I think its very cost effective. But I would let him decide. Super thoughtful ❤🙌
