Am I a Bridezilla if.....

B, on November 15, 2013 at 4:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 45

I wonder how many of you ladies have asked yourself this question.. Why did you ask yourself this question?

Am I a Bridezilla if.... I want my bridesmaids to wear an updo because I will be wearing my hair down?

Am I a Bridezilla if... I am seriously considering long bridesmaid dresses as opposed to short ones because I'm afraid they'll pick hideous shoes to wear?

Lastly.. Am I a Bridezilla if.... I want to kick everyone out of the wedding, nix the guest list, take a loss on deposits already made & just have a destination wedding? >Smiley smile

Ask yourself if you're a Bridezilla and let's hear why!

To me, you can want whatever you want for your wedding but when you become bitchy or mean or bossy, you've hit bridezilla point.

The latest one that I can't even take back no matter how bad I feel because three girls already purchased them...

Am I a bridezilla if I ask my BP to buy their own dresses AND cowboy boots?

If you want your bridesmaids to wear their hair up because you're wearing yours down, you're not a bridezilla ... unless you make them pay for the up-do. If you want your bridesmaids to wear long dresses, you're not a bridezilla. And if you want to just quit and elope, you're not a bridezilla ... you're me!

@Angel to me, asking them to lose weight/making them change their hair falls under the "mean" category...sorry!

Am I bridezilla if I want to make my officiant (female friend) and usher (male friend) walk down the aisle together even though they told me "no" last night?

Am I bridezilla if I write a script for our officiant to follow and threaten to tackle her if she begins embarrassing stories? LOL

Lol@rachel, you sound like me. At our reception, when people make the "toasts". I wanted to write everyone's speech but FH was like um no. lol

I just dont want them saying anything dumb, or embarassing.

Haha, I am MAKING my girls get updo's because I'm wearing my hair down! They're also wearing flats and I'm in heels, they'll have straps and I'll be strapless, and the'll be in cocktail length dresses. Complete opposite Smiley smile

    I don't think we're bridezillas! Smiley smile

Lol I love this thread. I don't think I've had any crazy thoughts though, maybe closer to the wedding! HAHA.

@angel, OMG toasts, too! I know. I want people to say normal stuff and I hate surprises.

Oh, am I bridezilla if I purposely put my BMs (FH's teenage daughters) in dresses that cover them because they have big chests and I don't? LMAO

I think that everyone reaches a point in wedding planning where it gets so stressful and overwhelming that you just want to cancel everything and elope! But when the day comes, it is all worth it!

Am I a Bridezilla if I want my girls to get it already that IF they have a black dress - please show me and I'll probably say they can wear it for the wedding. If I don't like it, they are not freaking wearing it and standing as a BM - they can pick from a selection of three since I'm paying for the damn things or go as a guest.

I've asked myself if I'm being a Bridezilla a few times but came to the conclusion (family agreed) that my tolerance for BS was just getting lower.

@Angel- I so wanted to do this with our toasts! I know my dad is going to say something super embarrassing. My FH wants to nix the toasts altogether. I don't hate that plan, you never know what will come out of his brother's mouth (his BM).

Am I a brideszilla if I asked my outlier BM what her tattoo situation was before picking out dresses? Yep, probably since posts blow up when brides say they want their BMs to cover their tattoos. I simply asked what the situation was.
