Alternatives to Unity Candle/Sand Ceremony?

Hey y'all! My fiance and I are not "unity candle" people, if that makes sense. We're looking for less cheesy ceremonies to lengthen our ceremony. We only have 2 people standing up with us and having an ordained friend marry us, so we're at maybe a 10 minute ceremony. Any ideas? Currently thinking wine ceremony (where we nail a box with wine and glasses shut for our anniversary).

We did a wine box ceremony, but we put a bottle of Bourbon and a bottle of wine in the box with our letters. Both types were served on our wedding day. We also didn't nail anything shut. I made a padded box out of a leather suitcase, so we just dropped the lid and we each closed a latch.

We are doing a reverse candle ceremony... Where we light the candle together, and then light our maid of honors, he lights his best man's, they light our guest and the guest lights other guests and when done, the officiant will say a few words like supporting the bride and groom in times of health and in times of need and to be there.. Etc, etc... And they all say in unison "we do". Very pretty for a small wedding when they gather around you

Going forward, we're doing more glass pourings, tequila sharings and paint pourings. Frankly, if I never see sand again, I'll be fine.

I've seen a couple tie a sailors knot into a length of rope. I really liked that!

I've seen a wine ceremony where they pour red and white wine together. Also the "three strands are not easily broken" and they tie rope together into a braid; some use it as wall décor in their house afterwards.

We're doing the ring warming. It's not so much a unity ceremony for the couple, but more so allowing the guests to give their blessings. It sounds lovely to me as we also are not really a unity candle/sand/wine, etc type of couple.

I love the idea of the reverse candle ceremony! FH wasn't digging it, so we are doing a glass ceremony! I think he's actually more excited for it than I am Smiley smile

I bought us a plaque called "Love Locks." We will lock a lock pad onto the tree to symbolize our commitment to each other - it has no keyhole/key, so it's saying that we will always be together. It's something that we can hang in our home after the wedding.
