Altered state- how do i change the look to fit the theme?? 2Alright, folks. I've been trying for several months, now, to figure out how to 'medieval up' my beautiful floral wedding dress. I found it & fell instantly in love with it, but when we decided on a medieval-theme, it threw me for a loop. I found this green overdress today on etsy.com, and I Think it could be the answer (plus, I really like the pointy collar in the back!).. Wearing this over my gown in Virginia's September heat will be crazy, but I'll drop the overdress, once the ceremony is done (and maybe wear it in a few of our photos while everyone else is having cocktails/snacks). The colors of green may be a bit off from one dress to the other- the designer is willing to work with me. She's got a five star rating, and the raving reviewers have stated that the over dresses are light weight and of high quality fabrics.

I thought simply adding white sleevezies might work, instead of adding the over dress, but I think it'd just look odd..
What do you guys think?

First of all, I love your floral dress. Second, I’m not a medieval guru.... but I think it’ll work well together. Seems like it will basically look like this pic.

Love it!!! I am having a medieval style dress as well!! Either will look great! I LOVE the green overlay with your dress, but i can see the white sleevezies working too! My vote would be for the green dress first though...

. I'm a little worried about the greens not working together. I hate that I'm being That picky, but the over dress is a little over $100, and I'm not supposed to be spending any more on this, but the cloak I was supposed to wear is heavy, unlined, grass green wool, and at what will be most likely a 90° day, I don't want to die of heatstroke or sweat through my clothes on my wedding day. The overdress would be coming off as soon as we get in to the reception (thank heavens for A/C in Virginia!!!).Altered state- how do i change the look to fit the theme?? 8

Can you do the overdress in the color of the roses? Even the blue/purple? I think the red/green contrast is throwing things off.
