Alterations

I had my alterations appointment two months before the wedding and picked it up a month before. My seamstress seemed concerned that I didn't bring it in sooner, but I really had no idea when to go lol. I only had my straps taken up and added a bustle since my dress was custom sized, but I would probably go at least 3 or 4 months before.

I took mine to my seamstress at the 4 month mark and got it back exactly 1 month before the wedding.

I'm getting married next month and I had my first dress fitting in December, second in January, I'll have my 3rd one next weekend, and then I have my 4th and 5th in March!

The seamstress I am working with make the first appointment at 3 months. I would say 3-4 months is the right range.

First one was 3 months, second was 1 month, final & pickup was 1 week out.

I took my dress to the seamstress at the 4 month mark. She fitted me and marked the places where she'll take it in, and take up the hem. She said she'll be done with it about a month before the wedding. I'll have my second fitting this weekend, so she can pin and measure for removing the zipper, and adding a corset back.

I have 4 alteration appointments prior to our August 1st wedding. One is in April, May, June, and in July 2 weeks before the wedding.

I'm going in for my first fitting next week! Our wedding is in June!
