Hi everyone! June 2022 bride here. I picked out and ordered my dress a few weeks ago and almost immediately started second guessing it. There are a lot of things I love about it, but also a lot of things I wish I could change and I’m wondering if the changes would be possible when I go for alterations. The train is my favorite part of the dress, but I hate that the lining doesn’t extend out underneath the train. I feel like it makes it look cheap or something? I’m wondering if anyone knows if some type of fabric could be added (chiffon or something?) to extend out underneath the train. Picture of my dress below. Thanks!!

It is definitely possible, but may require removing all the lace and re-lining the entire dress. If you decide to go that route, I would highly suggest lining it with a different color (champagne, nude, blush, etc.) so that the lace details of the train don’t get lost.

Thank you!! I was wondering about relining the entire dress because I’m also unsure about how bright white it is, but wasn’t sure if relining it would be possible.

It is definitely possible! Just make sure you get a skilled wedding seamstress. I think the dress will look absolutely lovely with a different color lining that makes all that beautiful lace pop 🤩

I agree it can be done, but also see why it was designed the way it was - the lace is going to be a lot less visible if its over plain white. There needs to be some variation for you to be able to see the lace details.

Hi, I'm also a June 2022 bride. Your dress is beautiful! I love it. When I got my dress, I was also second guessing myself, mainly because of nerves but you'll definitely look fantastic on your wedding day.

Thank you! If I am able to change it out I will definitely do nude or something to make the lace more visible since that’s my favorite part!
