Hi hi hi! Okay ladies. I need major advice. I purchased a ball gown type dress & I was hoping I can convert that into a mermaid or Aline dress under it? Kind of a TWO in one style. Hi hi hi! Okay ladies. I need major advice. I purchased a ball gown type dress & I was hoping I can convert that into a mermaid or Aline dress under it? Kind of a TWO in one style. I know that might not be possible , but can that happen? I know it would of been easier if I bought a mermaid and then added the tulle on top. But, this dress was a spontaneous buy, I walked in wanting a mermaid lace and walked out with this different beautiful dress. I just wanted to know if it may be possible. The picture is down below. Thank you so much in advance!! Xoxo

That dress is beautiful! We have in at the bridal shoppe I work at, but I have to be honest, I doubt it's possible. And, if it is, your alterations would cost almost as much as the gown itself. I second what @chip said. You can deflate the dress by cutting layers of the skirt out.
