I just received an email from our venue about a new package they are offering... an ALPACA package!!

The couple who own the place will bring their personal alpacas to the wedding for up to 2 hours... I never knew I needed something so bad! 😂
My only concern, we cannot afford an open bar (our friends and family would drink us homeless) and are just buying a few kegs and the rest is cash bar.
Is it poor taste if we were “extra” enough to have alpacas at the wedding but not an open bar? The alpacas are $200.00 for the two hours and an open bar obviously a lot more than that...

People will be so excited by the alpacas, they won't even remember there's no open bar!

I second this. Although no one needs to know or will know how much you paid for the alpacas it's like, they had animals but I had to pay for my drinks????

Honestly, as a guest, I would prefer the alpacas for the unique aspect and drink whatever nonalcoholic beverages you had. Serve what you can afford and don't charge anyone. If alcohol is most important to them, that's their priority over you.

Have a signature drink instead of a full bar.

You can have whatever you want it’s your day!! I am not much of a drinker but my family members are I would pay for the alpacas over an open bar too!
