After seeing a runny nose post I just realized I might be battling a runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezing that day. I usually am okay but this spring has been killing me! I even have a cracked skin rash around my nose from blowing into tissues so much. I finally took zyrtec after being faithful to benedryll and I feel a lot better. Any tips or advice on handling seasonal allergies??

Levocetirizine is actually available over the counter now. It's called Xyzal. Just became OTC last month. As others have mentioned do zyrtec, claritin, or allegra everyday. You can add 2 sprays of flonase everyday which will help with your symptoms too. Sudafed isn't necessary unless you are congested too. Visit your pharmacy and the pharmacist can hook you up with everything you need.

Claritin D is a strong allergy medicine that you do not need a prescription for. It has caffeine though so don't plan on being able to sleep if you have issues with caffeine. If you get hives in your eyes like I do, get an allergy eyedropper and use for a few days before your wedding as well as the day of. If it's really bad, go to the doctor. They may prescribe a steroid pack. Good luck and feel better!

Zyrtec daily, and a nasal rinse with a squeeze bottle followed by Flonase.
