All white or colorful bride bouquet?

SoontoBeMrsBatdorf, on October 14, 2015 at 5:44 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 41

My dress is ivory so it has just enough of an off white hue to it that my mother's veil goes perfectly with it without me having to oxyclean it. My bridesmaids are in jade dresses and I'm planning for their bouquets to be orange flowers (can't decide between tiger lilies and Gerber daisies right now). I was going to have the groomsmens boutineers be jade in color (still not sure what flower to use). But I've been thinking about what I want for my boquet amd can't decide between all white or all three colors. At first I wanted all three but then I found this picture on pinterest and fell in love with the feathers. I'm just not sure what would look right. So what are you doing for yours and do you have any opinion about what might look best for mine?

I like colors, because it will really stand out against the white and will work well to show off both the dress and veil, and the bouquet itself

First of all, I love your colors ;-) second, I tend to favor tiger lillies over gerber dasies personally! And lasly, I think just from the written description I vote for all three colors. BUT maybe you could post the picture you loved so much with the feathers? I think it will help for comparison

Go with color! My dress is ivory and my bouquet will be a mix of coral, peach and white flowers. My BMs will have all white bouquets and coral dresses.

I would say go with colors (I love your color choices) to match everything else. I am doing all white but we are having a beach wedding with no bridal party.

I always prefer color over white. White (or ivory) dress plus white flowers is bland.

ETA: In person, textures from different flowers might make it look more interesting, but I don't think it will translate as well to photographs.

My colors are plum and orange and my bridesmaids are carrying orange bouquets with just a touch of plum. Mine will have equal amounts of both colors with touches of white. I love color and couldn't just have a white bouquet, but that's just me.

I also have an ivory dress and I chose an all calla lily bouquet...mostly white with some purple for accents and to tie with my bridesmaids (purple/lavender dresses and orange rose bouquets (my colors are orange and purple). I personally like the bridal white effect with some color to distinguish it.

This is the feather boquet I love. The feathers on it match some that are on my dress! Although I have no idea what kind of feathers they are. Whenever I came across it I got super excited. I'm also leaning towards the more colorful boquet so maybe just have the white feathers and the colored flowers?

I think incorporating flowers in a color bouquet would get you the best of both worlds - good idea!

I went with colors...but our wedding was super colorful. I did go with an all white lei though and the flowers were a bit more ivory, my dress was pure white. I thought it looked pretty together still!

First pic is to show the bouquet, second is to show the lei a little better without the bouquet.

My girls will be dressed in an egg-planty purple and I'm planning on my flowers to be a similar purple with hints of ivory or white and for their flowers to be completely ivory or white to match. Smiley smile

Although I had a colorful bouquet, I think my favorite bouquets are ones that are mostly green and white. And I mean a lot of greenery so it's still not an all white bouquet either.

I think you could easily just add the feathers you like to a colorful bouquet! Smiley smile

Definitely color! Even with the feather bouquet, some color can be added in. I feel like all white bouquets just disappear against white/ivory wedding dresses.

Mine will be colorful, but with a mix of ivory in there. Here's one of my inspiration pics!

Mine was white and I loved it. Honestly you can't go wrong either way.

Oh I can totally visualize the colors of your BM dresses & their flowers and I am already excited for how that is going to look!

I'm going with white flowers for my girls since they are in three different colors, and having a Colorful Bouquet for me. I like the way it Pops!

Maybe you can talk to your florist and see how they can incorporate the feathers into your colorful bouquet?
