I know most of us in the South know that Publix is pretty much amazing. I am considering various options of cake. I am wondering if used Publix to purchase their wedding cake. I’ve looked into a few designs and I know their cakes are amazing but I want to know if anyone has experience with Publix....

Omg. Publix. My grandmother is within walking distance in FL and when I visit, it's bread heaven.

Elizabeth, they're in NJ and southeastern PA too. I have one 20 min north and another 30 min south.

@ Elizabeth, I love wegmans!!! Everything from wegmans is amazing, If i still lived in the North, i would have totally gotten a wedding cake from them. Shoot i'm probably have them cater it as well.

I used Publix for my wedding. It was two tiers at the top and then cupcakes at the bottom. It was amazing, and I want to say the final price was about $200. I dont really remember but it was very reasonable. My mom picked it up before the wedding, but they will deliver and set up if you wish. Now let me see if I can find a pic.

I can't give any advice, but I would trust publix. FH did several med school clinical rotations in Florida. Being from Canada I though Publix was across the country. I was sad to find out it wasn't. In Iowa we have Hyvee, which is good, but I miss Publix.

The cupcakes were supposed to be under the cake tiers.. But the cake stand they gave us was crappy, so they refunded us the rental fee and we got our deposit back...so that was money saved too.

We used a Publix cake for our cutting cake. We had them alter one of their designs and just do the top layer with some tweaks. We paid about $50 for a 6 inch red velvet and cream cheese, did not include delivery because we picked it up. The bakery staff was friendly and easy to work with and the cake was delicious of course. The doughnuts weren't from Publix, but its what we served our guests.
