All-inclusive Tipping

Erika, on August 28, 2019 at 10:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2
Looking for advice on tipping at all-inclusive location. We have to pay 8% tax and 20% service fee and it states this is not a gratuity and won't we be distributed as such. Thank you in advance!

We asked our venue coordinator for input on what would be appropriate in a similar situation, and let her know that under no circumstances did we want "tip jars" on the bar or with the valets. She suggested $100 for each of the two bartenders (100 guest wedding), $50 for each of the two valets, $200 for the wait staff (but suggested we give it to her to distribute as there were "definitely staff who would work much harder than others..."), and $100 for the bridal attendant who basically was at daughter's beck and call for 9 hours making sure she never needed or wanted anything. The coordinator NEVER suggested or said a word about it, but we also included $200 for her. Each cash tip was in a white envelope with the title of the person it was for. We gave all the envelopes to the coordinator the night of the rehearsal and asked her to distribute them.
