All-inclusive Caribbean resorts with jacuzzi/plunge pool either outside or in the room that Don't break the bank?

Emily, on May 1, 2019 at 12:21 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 13
Hi all! One of my (very silly) dreams has always been to have some sort of jacuzzi or plunge pool on our balcony or in the room by the window type thing during the honeymoon. I know a ton of resorts that have these, but they're all super expensive. I know that a luxury like that will cost a little extra, but can anyone think of any all-inclusives that have something similar that isn't like 900+ dollars a night? Honestly we'd like to stay 500 or less a night if possible. Am I just dreaming or does something like that actually exist?

Do you mean like a swim up room where the pool is right outside your patio/balcony? I know a lot of resorts in Mexico have that and they aren't super expensive. I know a lot also have a jacuzzi tub out on the patio/balcony as well but people say it is a waste of money typically because is it always too hot to use it.

We did a vacation in Kos, Greece in 2017 and they had rooms with both swimup pools and jacuzzi.

It was an all-inclusive, adults only hotel and we paid about $1400 per person for a week I believe. Might even have been cheaper. It was great. It was a popular Honeymoon place too.

We're going to a resort in Riviera Maya (south of Cancun) and on the Caribbean Sea call Unico 2087! We booked through Costco travel and for 9 nights with flights and everything included it ended up being just over $4,000. Their "basic" room either has a shared swim out pool with a few other rooms, or a jacuzzi tub on the balcony! Each room is also assigned a local host who helps you throughout your stay with whatever you might need or want, similar to the butler service that some resorts offer. I would definitely check them out!

Definitely look at all inclusive resorts in Mexico. I've seen that a lot there!

Oh wow I didn't know they had that resort! I really like that one - but thought it was way too pricey but that much INCLUDING flights is insane! Will definitely look!

We stayed at a "Honeymoon Suite" at Dreams Punta Cana which had a jacuzzi on the terrace. We also stayed at breathless punta cana which had a swim up pool (these were public pools not personal pools) as well as a balcony jacuzzi but it was much smaller than the one at dreams. And we've also stayed at Now Sapphire in Puerto Morales Mexico and the oceanfront suite had a tub jacuzzi. My favorite of them all was actually Dreams - its an older resort so the rooms werent as modern, but the natural beauty was rich and lush and much more mature than the other two newer resorts.

I just checked for something similar and for just 4 nights it was 3400 for me!? How the heck? Perhaps it was something about the longer the stay the cheaper each night actually ends up being.

I booked thru hotels.com for our stay, and we upgraded to the honeymoon suite when we got there for only $50/night instead of the almost $100/night that was listed. But it wasnt actually our honeymoon which is why I didn't care if we got the upgrade or not and didnt mind chancing it.

Have you seen Excellence Oyster Bay in Jamaica? It’s a newer resort, opened last year I believe and I’ve been drawn to it for the same reason! The suites are stunning and affordable. Most have pools or hot tubs!
