Alice in Wonderland

Vanessa, on August 30, 2011 at 4:02 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

I want to have an Alice and Wonderland wedding but mixed with fantasy, odd, and glam. I like the tree centerpieces with attached crystals and roses, I also want to use those viales that say drink me on them along with a cupcake that says eat me as a favor. Anyone else have ideas?

David Tutera did a Alice in Wonderland themed wedding... I think there are two other girls doing this theme for their wedding as well. Don't forget the mixed matched chairs & china sets!

If you're going to use that theme, you might want to remember that it is Alice in Wonderland, not Alice and Wonderland.

I'm doing an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding! This weekend actually! We did a vintage tea party theme with a twist of Alice...recreating the Mad Tea Party scene. I'll post pics after the wedding, but to get you started here's some of what I did:

-"Eat Me" tags on toothpics in the cupcakes

-"Drink Me" tags on the champagne flutes

-Alice themed wedding invite (inviting you to a Mad Tea Party)

-Centerpieces- stacks of mixed match china, teapots with fresh flowers

-Lots of clocks and pocket watch motifs

-Cut out white rabbits by the road (to "follow the white rabbitt" to the wedding)

-Mad Hatter's Hat as our cardbox

There's tons more I can't remember...oh and our rehearsal dinner theme is Queen of Hearts, the centerpieces are topiaries with white roses painted red and playing cards scattered throughout. Yay for another Alice bride!

@2d Bride: When I was a kid I thought that her name was Allison Wonderland, lol

And so I'm not accused by the mods of detracting from the original post, I would like to say: I think your idea is very nice, Vanessa C.

Here's a few pics, of the centerpieces for rehearsal dinner (wish i had the wedding centerpiece pics they're sooo cute), and the cardbox. I also started a DIY Alice in Wonderland wedding blog you can get some ideas from, although I never had time to finish it sigh...

Ok here's one pic of the teacups- they're actual living centerpieces my mom planted them in the cups with soil and has been nurturing them religiously!

Ahhh..how terrific are all of these ideas. I'll have some pictures of the space I'll be having the reception at. I think it will truly set a the theme. Thank you for your help, and kind responses. So excited!
