Maybe I've been under a rock and this is old news or not true, but there's a post on a local FB page that all AA locations are closing today. Anyone know if this is correct? The post also says in-store items are up to 80% off. Update in comments.

@CountingDown Ugh yeah, I'm definitely a worrier! This is just such crazy news! I hope it's just a restructure, and not full closing! Especially for everyone that's already ordered gowns....Hopefully everything gets sorted for everyone quickly!
Katie - that might be a question to ask a bridal shop on your area that retails AA dresses. They might not have an answer for you today, but thats where I'd direct that question.
My MOH actually found AA dresses on eBay last fall. She decided to check online before going in to order one, just in case she found an awesome deal on one that was her size and in the right color, length, and fabric. She scored.
I think she said the one she bought had been used previously as a sample in a store. I would imagine that for those of you who are looking for more AA dresses in a specific color because some BMs already have their dresses, checking websites like eBay for people who are selling sample dresses or reselling used BM dresses would be a good idea.

I pray for anyone who is dealing with this terrible situation! But maybe this link is truthful and the info can help someone on here who are waiting on their dress....
I managed to get my dream dress in my size for $520!! I'm crying, I'm so happy. I was worried I wouldn't get it.

I talked with my AA location in Sunday when I went to pick up my dress. Some locations are closing in certain areas and the rest of the stores are off the rack only.
@IzziJones: I'd surmise this was just what some locations were telling people, or, no one really knew as most of today is a shock for all. Time will tell.
Omg we just ordered our AA dresses like 3 days ago........

All that is on their website is they are having a huge in store sale to make way for fall collections. I wonder why they aren't coming out on the site and saying they are closing?
I am glad they are paying their employees their PTO so they have something for when they are job searching. What a terrible thing. I hope everything works out for all the brides that have to deal with this
@Jessica, that's awful! I mean, PTO is something... but how many of these employees are even eligible for PTO? I feel so badly for the employees who are not out of a job and all the brides/bridesmaids who are out of a dress and $$. Horrible situation for everyone involved!
Ha funny story. I got a call yesterday saying that I needed to come get my dress (that they had never even notified me was in until this point) ASAP because they had a water leak and couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't get damaged if I didn't get it that night. I live 3 hours away from the store and was working. Luckily my mom went and got it. Now I know what was actually going on. Someone else said they ended up not having to pay the remaining balance on their dress. Wish I hadn't paid in full now too! But it is awful for all the brides who are basically SOL with no dress and a lot of missing money.

From what I've seen from brides dealing with AA: if your dress is in store and waiting for pickup you have until 8 pm to do so. Once the doors closed the dress *may* be sent to you. If the dress is not in store then you are SOL and when you call AA they will send you to their bankruptcy lawyers.
