FIL have base access so they will be purchasing as much as possible at the Commisary. Everything else will be bought at Costco.

This all depends upon the state and city you live in and your venues requirements.

You can return unopened bottles to Costco and total wine!

What kind of venue requirements should I be keeping in mind? Does Costco give credit for unopened? bottles? I'm in Houston. I know spec's and total wine are super popular with brides out here, but am wondering if I'm overlooking some gems that I may not be considering...

I am, not sure where yet, but will be looking for a place where I can return. This way, I won't worry about buying an excess. I'll buy way more than so think I need, then return whatever I didn't use.

We did Bevmo since they had all of our alcohol, water, soft drinks, and mixers our Bartender needed and would deliver everything chilled. They also delivered ice which was a plus.

My venue includes top shelf liquor. But check Bj's, Costco & Sam's Club.

Publix has bogo wine with coupons every week, that's where our wine/champagne will be coming from.

We are using Bevmo for our kegs and sams club for our liquor and bottles of Ballast Point because they have the best prices. We only have to spend $200 on liquor and $350 on kegs and bottles

Bevmo will also do wine tastings! Just call to set it up. Super great for five cent wine sale

I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet, but Trader Joe's for wine - $3-$4 for a bottle! We got Pinot Grigio, Cabernet, Chardonnay, and White Zinfandel. We got champagne from Costco. Liquor from the liquor store. Mixers (juices, soda, etc.) from Costco.
