Did you have a aisle runner and if so did you like having one? Also did you have it out for everyone to walk on or have it put down right before the flower girl goes down? I don't really have anyone to roll it out so i was thinking before the ceremony even starts but i feel that it might rip or...

Opinions please?! Thanks Everyone! Smiley smile

I didn't have a runner, but had the aisle lined with ivory rose petals.

I think I'll be skipping it. I'm not going to spend extra cash on something I just don't care too much about

I was having one but after the comments here of tripping and wanting the show the train properly I'll be rethinking this. I was doing was doing a white runner and red rose petals but think I'll just do the petals. Thanks for this post.

I'm doing two strips of fabric on either side covered with flower petals. I'm sewing washers into the fabric so that I can set it up earlier in the day and I don't have to worry about it blowing away. I just want something to spruce up the aisle and not necessarily something to walk on.

I don't think I want an actual aisle runner, either. I came across this picture of my venue set up with petals along the sides of the aisle and really liked it. Although, I didn't remember the flowers looking quite so pink! I want something different up front, but like the idea of white petals lining the aisle like in the picture.

We're getting married in a historic home with hardwood floors. A friend recommended Original Runner company. They are very pricey and it seems ridiculous but our room really needs the aisle defined and I think all the cheap aisle runners look like tissue paper. Ours has a full non-slip backing so it won't move. We were at a wedding last month and the aisle runner was all torn and folded at the end as we walked out of the ceremony. So I would say, pay extra for a good quality one or skip it.

We skipped it. I've never seen the point. If your guests walk on it, it will likely get dirty and wrinkled before you arrive. If you put it down before they arrive but don't let them walk on it, they'll be inconvenienced in getting to their seats. If you wait to roll it out until the processional, it's a hitch in the ceremony.

No aisle runner for us, but I did make a rug to stand on at the end of the aisle!

I seen some on etsy I really liked. But I dont know if I will have one. I think I may only set candles and flower pedals on the sides with tool and bows on the seats. Though Im not sure yet.
