Aisle runner: Yay or nay?

Hi everyone! I have been very torn on the decision to use an aisle runner or not. I don't particularly want to use one but my mom and friends keep telling me that I need one so that the bottom of my dress doesn't get dirty. I'm not too concerned about that. The way I see it, the bottom will get dirty regardless when we take photos outside. Do you think that I should use one anyway? The aisle at our church is a very pretty marble so I'm not concerned about the need to cover up an ugly floor or anything along those lines. Thoughts?!
