I'm getting married outdoors in August and will most likely have a gravel path. What can I possibly use to protect the lace train on my dress??

We are getting married in June also. I ordered a $40.00 runner with double hearts off Amazon, and silk petals off Amazon for isle and scatter on tables. In reading reviews, the runner had good ones, however I am still going to unroll it to make sure this month so I have time to get another if necessary. I just ran across a great site that has a calculator to figure out how many petals you need for isle runner depending on length, scattering and throwing. Helpful tool. They offer both silk and freeze dried and you can order samples for free, just cover shipping. They are in the U.S. The company is called Petal Garden, Inc. I was researching securing isle runner on concrete when I ran across it.

I'm also having an outdoor wedding this summer, it will be on grass, and my dad doesnt have the best balance so I'm looking for something to make the walk smooth for us. Plus I have a gorgeous lace train that I'm afraid to get dirty!

Also having an outdoor wedding and looking for a runner suitable for grass. Like the idea of the pedals but what about the brides veil. Won't there be a risk of the veil getting caught on the grass and tearing?

Ours is indoors, and I've decided against a runner because there's already some dark red carpet which will totally show off my train and veil. But if I had this problem, I would look into getting a long strip of astroturf or even carpet, and I would go and talk to a few carpet places because sometimes they have remnants they are willing to part with quite cheaply because it's taking space on their showroom. I think you can even even rent it.
