Aisle Decor for outdoor wedding

How are you decorating your aisle. I'm having an outdoor wedding and I'm not sure whether to use an aisle runner or not. I think it maybe difficult to walk on since it may be on top of grass. I want to know what ideas everyone else has. Oh and I was wondering if anyone used silk flower petals. I love the way an aisle looks when it's lined with a lot of petals. Do they look tacky? I'm having real flowers everywhere I'm just not sure if it's worth getting some to be thrown on the floor.

You could do shepherds hooks up the aisle...or hang small vases of some sort off of the end chairs with flowers in them. My friend used logs and it looked pretty cute! I am hanging Paper fans on the aisle chairs. I wanted to save money by not using flowers!

I personally like big lanterns lining the aisle, so pretty.

Were doing outdoor ranch but it's behind a tasting room for a local winery so looking at putting big wine barrels at the entrance to the aisle and flowers on top of that, and leaving as is. I'm with you on the runners. I love the look of flowers on grass though. I'm still on the fence on petals. Waiting to see if we'll have grass or not (California in late September)

Our ceremony is the weekend before Christmas, and we will have mini Christmas trees lining the aisle! I love the lanterns!

We'll have flowers hanging from Shephard's hooks on every other row. As far as aisle runners, our venue does not allow them...but my aunt had one for her wedding and one of the bridesmaid's heels punctured it and she tripped and face planted while walking down the aisle. If you choose to have an aisle runner, I suggest getting some sturdy material!
