Airline changed our seats

Helllp! The airline changed our seats...it is a full flight and my fh and I are no longer sitting together. What should I do? We paid extra to be delta comfort plus and to pick our seats. They did not notify me of any seating change. I’m not sure exactly what to do other than to call them.

If nothing else, just let them know at the gate prior to the start of boarding. They’ll move you back next to each other. I do it all the time because I don’t want to pay extra to pick my seats. Especially when the fine print reads that they can still change the seats on you prior to your trip.

It doesn't matter if it's full. You paid to choose your seats and have already chosen your seats. They should honor that. What would be the use of you paying of you don't sit together?

Good that they fixed it . It is so hard to make sure you attend to all details, and so many do not check the seats. Of all the times you want to be together, happy this worked out.

So what? There are bound to be passengers who did not pay extra to pick their seats the way you did. That means if the airline wants to move them around, they have the right to do that. But from what I understand, the whole point of paying extra is so that you do not get your seat moved!

I haven't flown Delta, so I'm not sure what their policies are. But you should either get to keep your seats that you picked, or Delta should be issuing you a refund of the extra amount you paid.

Either way, I agree with PPs here that most times, singles are willing to switch seats, when they know people are flying together.
