Airbrush makeup vs regular makeup?

What is everyone doing for their wedding makeup? I've heard good things about both and am contemplating which direction to go for my wedding. What are your opinions?

For my skin tone only traditional will do. In my opinion airbrush does not cover african american skin well.

I'm not an airbrush fan. I have dry combination skin, and acne scars. I felt it clung to the scars and dry skin and made it way more obvious.

Hi Becca! Have you found a makeup artist yet? Perhaps having a consultation about both types of makeup along with your skin type will help! Smiley heart Personally, I prefer traditional, lightweight makeup but everyone is different.

Do you have a picture of your makeup vision or inspo? Smiley heart

I was super against airbrush makeup, it just looks too unreal for me. I wanted to look glamorous while also staying natural, so my makeup artist did regular makeup. She did the same for my bridal party and mom. We all looked beautiful and our makeup lasted all day (10+ hours). For reference, I have a very oily t-zone so I kept some matte blotting paper handy, which I did sneak into my bridal suite once during my wedding to use, and with that my makeup stayed perfect all day long Smiley smile no reason for airbrushing.

I am a makeup artist and offer both airbrush as well as regular makeup for weddings. I will personally be wearing regular for my own wedding as I don't have issues with my foundation lasting. However, if it will be super hot, you are prone to sweating, or may cry a lot I highly recommend airbrush. Just make sure the makeup artist is using a silicone based airbrush product. This will ensure that it stays put through out the day. It can look as flawless or as natural as you want, the staying power is where it can make a difference.

Hi hired Tiffany Gunter from Sedding Faces. Her work looks amazing and she uses airbrush. From her website, airbrush looks like a lot more photo friendly coverage and leaves you with that magazine look. Flawless. I am having it done and lashes. This is my inspiration look which she did also. I love the smoky eyed Melania Trump look given my deeper set eyes so it really brings them out.
