Airbrush Make-up.. Yay or Nay?

I can't decide whether or not I want airbrush make-up! I have heard good and bad things! Some say it's gorgeous and stays perfect all day... others say if you cry/sweat it streaks and there is no way to blend or fix it!! What did you choose for your big day? Would you change it if you could go back?...

I still can't decide either. I have naturally oily skin and I had my makeup trial with traditional and a few hours later my face looked very oily! I'm wondering if airbrush will be better or not.

I tried out both. The airbrush felt really heavy on my skin, and it also is not recommended to be used on people that have more oily skin or "older" skin b/c it can settle into lines and "crack." I loved traditional - it stayed put on me with absolutely no wearing-off and it felt very light and natural.

A good MUA can make traditional application look as flawless as airbrush is purported to be.

Fine lines- and oily complexions are big NO NO's for airbrush.

If it's the same cost- give it a shot- IMHO- it's not worth the substantial price difference.

If you want to be on the safe side, traditional is always a good way to go. However, I would recommend doing the airbrush trial if it's something you are really considering.

My makeup artist initially advised against airbrush when I went for my trial. However, she got more experience with it in between the trial and the wedding and on the wedding day she really recommended it. My mom went with it and it looked great so I went for it too. I am so glad I did. It looked great and stayed perfect all night. I'm the type of person who has to retouch my makeup constantly but over the course of 10 hours my makeup stayed perfect.

I lived having airbrush for my wedding. It looked good in the photos I've seen so far (full pros still to come) but I didn't worry about sweat or tears ruining my night at all

I had airbrush and loved it. I've done traditional a few times as a bridesmaid. To me it wasn't much different. Airbrush did last longer. But my makeup artist was cheaper than most so it was way in budget.

I did airbrush for my engagement pictures. It was hot as hell and I sweated all day and it stayed on perfectly

I had airbrush makeup at my engagement shoot and at my wedding and loved it. Great coverage and very light.

Test them at your trial; much depends on your skin type. I had airbrush for my trial and my actual wedding and loved it on me, but I got married on Jan 1 (trial was in November) and my skin was pretty clear (I.e. not much to cover) and combination. Pic from wedding-

I have very oily skin and had airbrush for the first time in a wedding I was in last October. Not only did it last all day... it actually still looked decent when I woke up the NEXT day! It was on to stay lol!

    I would highly recommend airbrush.
