on February 21, 2020 at 6:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
So our Wedding is 11.08.2020
We just got STDs to a friends wedding 12 days before ours that requires us to be out of town (we can make it work) and a wedding thats 3 weeks after ours 😫

I was planning on sending our STDs our for the first week of April... am I behind??? Everything is all set/booked (dress venue cake menu dj photography florist decor etc is all planned and mostly paid for) I just need the small things like STDs invites seating chart etc.. will the first week of April be okay to send our STDs? And planning to send invitations out in September..

You're not that far behind with save the dates! I do know that a lot of people suggest doing STD 6-8 months prior, and then invites 6-8 weeks prior, so you're just barely missing that 6 month mark. 5 months should still be fine, don't worry. It's crazy that there are 2 weddings you might attend that are so close to your own!

I know ahhhhh they are close friends (live out of state) so we only talk every once in a while due to work and kids etc so we are making it a point to attend each others but we didn’t know how close they would be 😫 add on stress lol

I think you can send save the dates as soon as you want to. My wedding is the same date Smiley smile we sent ours out already bc a lot of my finances friends need to know as soon as possible on dates bc their jobs. Then of course invites couple months before

4-6 months out is a more than acceptable time to send out Save The Dates! I like them a little closer to the date so I don’t forget lol.

Hey date twin! That’s our day too!

I’d say it depends. Half our guests are from out of town, so we sent them out the week before thanksgiving 2019. I’d say you’re still on time, but I would try to get them out sooner rather than later.

My wedding is a few weeks after yours and we’re not sending ours out until the first week of May. It’s still over 6 months I’m advance at that time.
