Affordable Day of Coordinator

Polin, on July 24, 2016 at 2:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

Anyone know of any affordable day of coordinators who are reliable and good (no more that $1500)? As you all know, planning a wedding can get pricey. My fiancé and I want to save as much as we can so we can buy a house next year after the wedding. We are having our wedding in Orange County, CA for about 75-100 guests. Please share if you know of any coordinators, greatly appreciated!!

Check out Events by Laney. She was amazing and affordable, we paid $650 for her. I really don't know what I would have done without her. She is in San Diego but you're not that far so I'm sure she would travel. We had 300 guests and everything went smoothly and perfectly with and because of her. I was completely stress free because of her. I can't recommend her enough! I planned my wedding by myself but needed her as a day of coordinator and I'm so glad I did, you don't want to be doing anything on your wedding day except getting ready and relaxing before getting married.

I'm sorry I can't help with price and location. I just wanted to suggest that maybe a coordinator is not the right way to go. Yes, I'm sure a great coordinator can save you a lot of stress and money. The girls I've known that have hired coordinators, they all ended up greatly more stressed out because they were always trying to check in with their coordinator/planner and frequently wouldn't get answers back in a timely manner, missed deals etc.

If you're trying to save money, I know it may sound like more work to do it yourself, but I've been doing it all myself and really haven't found it that bad. Just a thought!

Yes! Our coordinator is Lizzy Thomas. She is only charging $1000 for 'day of' but she has already gone above and beyond of what is included. We aren't getting married until next March. She is located in Granada Hills but might be worth looking into!

So you already have your venue/vendors booked? We had a full service venue, so didn't have to deal with setting-up, or cleaning up. The florist did all set-up and take-down of their décor. The venue came with a banquet manager and assistant, a dining room captain, and the venue had over 80 years experience. We didn't need a DOC and everyone ran smoothly. P.S. The bandleader had been in business for years and co-ordinated the timeline with our banquet manager.

This is our planner/coordinator. We have the same guest count as you and budget. If I had more friends getting married I would refer them to her because she has been a dream! She is so helpful and has made this process so enjoyable for us.
