Affordable all inclusives?

All inclusive honeymoons make me think of cruises

Ocean Maya Royale in Mexico is good, I went there for my 21st birthday. The Level at Melia in Punta Cana is really nice as well. I went there last June. Both of these are adults only. My parents have been to all of the Couples Resorts (adult couples only) all around Jamaica and love them. They go once a year and have found all of them to be excellent. I've also been to Atlantis in the Bahamas which does allow kids but the Bahamas are so beautiful, we had a good time there as well.

I don't know how "affordable" it was because we didn't pay for it, but we went to Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an in Cancun for our honeymoon. It was incredible! There's a few other resorts connected to it and we're going back to a different one with the whole family in October!

Cancun or Cozumel both have inexpensive AI's and are typically beautiful year round. Any tourist laden area can be hazardous but you need to always use your best judgement when you are out and about. Don't leave valuables out in your room, utilize the in room safe for valuables and passports and one shoe you will wear home...this way you won't forget these items when you go to leave for home. Don't make yourselves a target by making it obvious you are an American tourist, when off the resort and not on a tour (aka just walking around town) wear neutral and conservative clothing as to not draw attention to yourselves. We travel internationally all the time and hardly run into issues, but once again, we remain alert at all times.
