Has anyone had an adventure elopement? This is Plan C for my fiance and I if our rescheduled date of November 28 doesn't allow for our planned wedding. I'm pretty obsessed with these epic pictures! Contenders on my list so far are Yosemite (though Glacier Point and Taft Point may be closed by the end of November), the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park, and Limekiln State Park in Big Sur, CA. Does anyone have any other amazing locations for late November that have epic photography locations in the continental US? Has anyone done one of these amazing elopements? Give me all the epicness!

I know of a fantastic photographer who splits her time between CA and CO if you guys wanted to hire a pro for a fun shoot while on your honeymoon. She’s shot at Maroon Bells before (it’s outside of Aspen), which is how I found out about it.

Grand Tetons were on our list! Such gorgeous locations! We’ll have to go camping there in the future.

We camped there the week they opened in June. Hardly anyone there it was great. We stayed in gross ventre for two nights then found Better and cheaper campground with less people at South Gate of Yellowstone (north of Tetons) to stay. There are a lot of free camp sites along snake river that are first come first serve. Tetons were my favorite. I definitely want to go back. We stayed a week and we hit all the major stuff but didn’t hike all the trails we wanted. (Animals blocking trail head, rain and snow prevented some of it but we hit all the popular trails.) so much fun!

That sounds like a great trip! One of my bridesmaids honeymooned at the Tetons/Yellowstone and she just raved about it. It’s definitely on my bucket list!

Just updating the thread to say it’s happening! We’ll be eloping in Yosemite next month on our 3 year dating anniversary! Have to lock down logistics with photographers and such, but I’m so excited!

You're going to have a wonderful time! My husband and I eloped in June on our original wedding date with just 2 friends, a photographer and a videographer at St. Mary's Glacier in Colorado. It was an adventure (rain, hail, and eventually sun) but we're so happy with the whole day.

Dang girl! These are fantastic and you two look adorable. I LOVE hiking boots/shoes in formal wedding wear Smiley smile The reflection on that lake is to die for.

I also posted my elopement shots recently. Amazing how different the same area can look when the seasons and weather changes.

This is awesome, Jessica! Adding another photographer to the mix that is local to the Seattle area and loves adventure shoots: Forthright Photo, it's a husband-and-wife team.
