Adhesive bras

Morgan, on November 8, 2016 at 12:03 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

So my wedding dress has a sheer back and I am trying to decide whether to go with an adhesive bra or get cups sown in. I am a 34 D cup and I am a little worried about the support bc I've never worn an adhesive bra before. Can anyone offer their experience with these types of bras????

If you're talking about the bras that are just cups you stick onto your boobs and then clip together, they offer nothing as far as support, they're really just there to give you cleavage. I think getting cups sewn in would work out better, that's what I went with. No way in hell I was gonna wear a sticky bra for that long lol

If you're going to sweat at all, I'd recommend getting sewn in cups. I've worn a decent stick on for formal events. It's fine if you're sitting still, eating dinner. If you want to dance, it will likely come unstuck.

For ref, I'm a 36C. Mine is from Victoria's Secret.

I love to dance so I'm sure I will sweat. I'd hate to have to adjust it all night.

I've never had a problem with a sticky bra coming unstuck, I try to keep them clean and get a new one whenever I feel like they're losing their stickiness. But oh my god, taking a new sticky bra off for the first time.... R.I.P. nipples Smiley sad that's probably tmi but no one ever warned me about that

@carpsfern, I thought I was keeping it clean. I've worn it about 4 times. The 4th time was the only time it came undone, but I was a dancing machine (white wine fueled) that night. And yes, the first few times I wore it, omg...tender.

    Anyone tried bye bra?

Potentially NSFW video - they blur the nipple but you might not wanna take the chance -

@BecomingMrsOz 4 times? That's crazy, I've had mine last a good deal longer than that and I was definitely sweating in them. I get mine from Target, I've never tried the Victoria's Secret ones. They must use a different adhesive

Yep felt weird most of the night. Got home and my bra came off with my dress.....no pain that night lolz.

I'll definitely be checking the Target ones out. I have several military birthday balls in my future.

@Morgan, sorry to hijack your thread. Thanks for asking the question. I learned something new tonight.

@Samtoine2017 I'm curious about that too. They seem a little on the pricey side, but they actually provide lift, which I think would make them worth the extra cost. If anyone else has used them, how comfortable are they and what's the reusability on them?

@Samtoine2017 I will look into them. I might have to buy a trial pair and see how they work out

I was looking at reviews for bye bra, and I found the coupon code "liveyourdreams" for 30% off. Idk if it still works, that review was pretty old, but it's worth a shot. I also saw the code "livinginclips", I believe that one is for 30% off as well

ETA: @Morgan, if you buy it, be sure to come back and let us know how you like it Smiley smile

I had to use one for a few weeks because of a rib tattoo I got. I used NuBra and got it from Macy's. I was so worried it would come off, but it's impressive that it was never an issue. I followed the cleaning instructions pretty closely because I needed it to work for a couple weeks at work.

Get cups sewn in. I used to work at Victoria's Secret and I am a ddd. Those bras are really not made for big tatas!

I'm with sewn in cups. I'm a DD and they don't work well for me at all. I've never even found DDs and Ds are a rare one to find too, at least in my area. As @Kate R said, you can always go to Target and try one out if you want.

If you sweat, prepare for your sticky bra to start sliding.lol

I mean, I'm a D and I use sticky bras fairly often (I hate having bra straps peeking out). I'm reasonably happy with them. I wouldn't do jumping jacks in them, but they get the job done. If I'm super concerned about support, sometimes I'll pair it with a bandeau bra. You can't do that in a backless dress, but for anyone creeping the thread that's wondering about everyday use, I figured I'd throw my two cents out.

Just to be fair, I wouldn't even do jumping jacks in my regular bras. I'm at risk of falling out at a light jog lmao

I'm the same size and just wore an adhesive bra for the first time this weekend. It worked really well and I had no problems! I've heard sewn in cups have no support
