Addressing VERTICAL invitations??

Soon 2B Mrs. C, on February 16, 2010 at 7:22 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

The outside envelope of our invitations is vertical instead of horizontal, with our return address on the back seal (which is located at the top of envelope)...similar to the size of a tall greeting card. Found out today that it's 44 cents cheaper to address them horizontally (like a regular envelope). Do you think that will look funny to have the return address on the back a different direction or could I get away with it?

I think that is perfectly fine. no need to pay the extra $ just for an envelope people will look at for 3-5 seconds before they tear it open & then throw it out.

I don't think anyone would even notice. It adds character.

I've seen one like that. It was fine. Very few people would even notice that, and the ones that do probably won't criticize you for it Smiley smile

I would definitely save the money and address them horizontally! I doubt that anyone will notice and it almost seems strange to see an envelope address in a way people are not used to.

I had vertical and I didn't even think twice about it..duh. I just addressed them like a regular envelope - I'm sure no one will even notice.
